Varsity Head Coach - Greg McClellan

Coach Greg McClellan returns for his fifth year as Head Coach for the Varsity Baseball team. Greg was the GlenOak JV Coach for three seasons. He was named 2009 Federal League coach of the year. Coach McClellan was a four year letterman at GlenOak from 93-96, where he earned numerous “All Federal League Awards”. He was a member of the 95-96 State Championship Teams, and was voted Team Captain, and named “All Ohio” in 1996. McClellan pursued his baseball career in college at Bowling Green State University and Walsh University, where he earned his Bachelors Degree in Education. He earned his Masters Degree at Mary Grove College. Coach McClellan is a tenth year employee of the Plain Local School District and currently teaches 5th grade at Oakwood Middle School. Greg and his wife, Megan, were married in July of 2003 They have a daughter, Kennedy who is 3 1/2 years old and a son, Parker, who is 7 months old.

 

Assistant Varsity Coach - Darren Ware

Assistant Varsity Baseball Coach...Darren is a 1991 graduate of Holy Name High School, and a 1997 graduate of Walsh University. Darren teaches seventh and eighth grade Science at Malvern. He was a four year letterman at Holy Name High School, and played one year of ball at Gulf Coast College and three years at Walsh University. Coach Ware was the Assistant Baseball Coach at Jackson High School for four years, and the Head Baseball Coach at Malvern High School for four years. Since 1996, he has worked at Grand Slam as a pitching and hitting instructor. Darren and his wife, Molly, have have two sons, Brody (9) and Tanner (6).

 

Assistant Varsity Coach - Ryan Streb

Assistant Varsity Coach...Ryan is a 1996 graduate of GlenOak High School. Ryan attended Bowling Green State University from 1996-2000, and Kent State University from 2000-2003. He is currently a ninth grade math teacher at GlenOak High School. Coach Streb was a pitcher and infielder for GlenOak until graduating in 1996. He was a pitcher at Bowling Green for four years. In the spring of 2004, Ryan was the Pitching Coach at Green High School and has been with the Eagles since.
